THE
MEMPHIS HEART CLINIC CHOOSES GEMMS
Indianapolis,
Indiana (December 10, 2000) GEMMS today announced it signed
an agreement with The Memphis Heart Clinic to install its electronic
clinical information system in the practice. The GEMMS ECIS system is
a cardiology-specific system that integrates a practices clinical,
fiscal and management information into one system. Todays announcement
marks the 22rd practice to join the GEMMS national network since its
national sales efforts began in 1999.
The
Memphis Heart Clinic in Tennessee, which has 4 physicians and 4 clinic
locations, needed a comprehensive clinical practice management system
that would allow the practice to seamlessly tie the patient encounter
to the back office system.
Currently,
all of our back office procedures are outsourced, says Joseph
Samaha, MD and Managing Physician. With ECIS, we are able to implement
a comprehensive clinical system that ties every aspect of the patient
encounter directly to the scheduling and billing departments giving
us complete control over our practice management processes.
The
Memphis Heart Clinic is joining the growing number of practices that
looking for information to help them improve patient care, said
