Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada Select GEMMS ECIS System
Indianapolis, Ind. (May 1, 2001) Gateway Electronic Medical
Management Systems (GEMMS), developer of the nation's first clinical
information system designed specifically for cardiology practices, today
announced it will install its electronic clinical information system
(ECIS) at Cardiovascular Consultants of Henderson, Nevada.
This
cardiology practice's 20 physicians treat more than 67,000 patients
annually at six locations throughout Nevada. Cardiovascular Consultants
is the 30th practice to join the GEMMS network since its national sales
efforts began in 1999.
"Cardiology
Consultants was particularly interested in the proven return on investment
that the GEMMS ECIS system has delivered to other cardiology practices.
Many practices are wary of the claims they hear regarding the fiscal
benefits of implementing an integrated information system. With our
proven work at cardiology practices nationwide, we can show actual data
documenting the ECIS system's benefits in supporting a more efficient
and effective practice, says Larry D. Grider, GEMMS chief operating
officer.
"The
GEMMS ECIS system fully integrates a practices clinical, fiscal
and management information into one system. In other implementations,
the system has saved our customers time and money, and facilitated faster
decision-making processes. It also provides clinicians with greater
access to information, thus enhancing their ability to deliver patient
health care services," says Grider.
