Clearwater
Cardiovascular & Intervention Consultants
Select GEMMS ECIS System
Indianapolis,
Indiana (September 3, 2002) Gateway Electronic Medical
Management Systems (GEMMS), developer of the nation's first clinical
information system designed specifically for cardiology practices,
today announced it will install its electronic clinical information
system (ECIS) at Clearwater Cardiovascular & Intervention
Consultants.
The 15 physicians of Clearwater Cardiovascular's treat more than
60,000 patients annually at two locations located in Florida.
Clearwater Cardiovascular & Intervention Consultants join
over 320 physicians seeing patients at over 70 clinics throughout
the nation, to install the GEMMS ECIS system since its national
sales efforts began in 1999.
"Clearwater Cardiovascular & Intervention Consultants
chose to implement the GEMMS ECIS system because they needed a
proven clinical practice management system that combined all of
their practice information into one system," said Rodger
Pinto, PhD., and CEO of Gateway Electronic Medical Management
Systems. "ECIS will allow them to improve the overall quality
of care provided to their patients because of its ability to make
critical patient information readily available as well as offering
their physicians decision support."
